Overall not terrible but not the episode to introduce someone to the series either. The butler association guys were in other 1990s sitcoms like Seinfeld. Later Maxwell does change his tune after Marsha disses Fran, then gives a nice speech at the end, which kind of redeems it. EPISODE 6 24m A Star Is Unborn Fran is cast in a Broadway production of 'Romeo and Juliet.' EPISODE 7 24m Pishke Business Fran must woo a big investor after her mother and some friends back Maxwell's new play. The story is kind of generic like it could have been written for any 'rich household' sitcom, and the premise doesn't really pivot on the unique relationships of The Nanny. Soon Fran gives another info dump - about those one-uppers Jack and Marsha.
It opens with Niles giving an information dump about the butler association (Fran: 'I thought you were joking it sounded so ridiculous'). Fran is arrested on kidnapping charges when she brings home a baby who she believes has been abandoned.
